Popular television host Frank Edoho has sparked a heated debate on X (formerly Twitter) after clashing with a lawyer who criticized his career decisions. The confrontation began when Foundational Nupe Lawyer (@egi_nupe___) questioned why Edoho had chosen to endorse a sports betting brand instead of returning to the quiz show that made him a household name, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (WWTBAM).
The lawyer suggested that fans of Edoho’s WWTBAM era would be disappointed to see him promote a betting platform. When asked why the quiz show ended, the lawyer added:
“I think the sponsors pulled out and he had some marital issues then.”
Edoho did not take the comment lightly. He immediately fired back, rejecting any connection between his personal life and the show’s conclusion. In a tweet that quickly went viral, he wrote:
“Sponsors pulled out because I had marital issues? 🤣🤣🤣 Since we are being stupid, why didn’t your Father pull out when you were conceived? After all, he didn’t really like your Mother. Tw@t.”
The exchange quickly drew intense reactions online. Some felt the lawyer had overstepped by bringing Edoho’s private life into public discussion, while others argued that the host’s response was unnecessarily harsh. Edoho’s bold reply, however, has dominated conversations about boundaries between personal life and professional critique in the entertainment industry.
This latest social media feud highlights how public figures like Edoho navigate criticism while maintaining their brand and personal dignity. With fans and critics divided, the debate continues on whether Edoho’s fiery response was justified or an overreaction.
