Actor Kunle Afod has opened up about the pivotal role Femi Adebayo played in sustaining his career during challenging times in Nollywood.

“When my acting career was declining, Femi Adebayo kept casting me in his major movies,” Kunle said, highlighting the professional opportunities that Femi provided at a critical juncture. 

His comments underscored not only the generosity of Femi but also the strength of their long-standing personal connection. The two actors share a deep bond, having grown up together, and Kunle even lived in the family home of Femi’s father, veteran actor Adebayo Salami, for seven years.

Femi Adebayo is a highly respected figure in Nollywood, recognized as an actor, director, producer, and filmmaker. He is the son of Adebayo Salami, a key figure in Yoruba cinema and Nigerian film history.

 Femi’s career is prolific, with appearances in more than 500 films, as well as directing and producing several commercially successful projects. Notable works include Seven Doors, King of Thieves (2022), one of the top-grossing Yoruba films, and Jagun Jagun (2023).
