Emmanuella Ropo, widely recognized as the estranged wife of Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has shared an emotional and heartfelt message following a major cultural milestone.
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, she was honoured with the prestigious title of Seriki Iyalaje of Egbaland, a recognition that celebrates leadership, influence, and contribution to the community.
The title was formally conferred by HRH Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR (Okukenu IV), the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, during a colorful ceremony attended by chiefs, royal fathers, family, friends, and well-wishers.
The event highlighted not only the significance of the chieftaincy but also the widespread admiration and respect for Emmanuella within the community.
Sharing moments from the ceremony, Emmanuella expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging the role of everyone who contributed to making the day memorable.
She wrote:
"With a heart full of gratitude and deep humility, I give thanks to Almighty God for the successful fulfilment of my Chieftaincy Conferment Ceremony today, Saturday, 21st March, 2026.
I am profoundly grateful for the honour bestowed upon me as SERIKI IYALAJE OF EGBALAND, graciously conferred by HRH OBA DR. ADEDOTUN AREMU GBADEBO, CFR (Okukenu IV), The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland."
She went on to acknowledge the support she received throughout her journey:
"My sincere appreciation goes to everyone who played a part in making this day a resounding success.
To the royal fathers, chiefs, dignitaries, family members, friends, well-wishers, and every individual who contributed in one way or another, your presence, support, prayers and goodwill meant more than words can express. To those who stood by me throughout this journey, offering encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support, I say thank you."
