Desola Afod Slams Man Who Said She’s Nothing Without Kunle Afod

Desola Afod has delivered a strong response to a critic who questioned her identity and relevance amid ongoing speculation about her marriage to Yoruba Nollywood actor Kunle Afod.

The controversy began after a man advised the mother of four to remove her husband’s surname if she no longer wanted to be addressed as “Mrs.” He went further to claim that she owed her recognition entirely to the Afod name and described her as irrelevant without it.

His message read:

"Oshi lo se o.

See, let me tell you now,

As one of Kunle Afod’s fans and family in the USA.

If you said you don’t want to be addressed as Mrs again.

Then remove Afod from your name because without that name you are useless.

Afod made you a celeb.

Don’t be stup!d”.

Desola Afod did not let the remark slide. In a heated reply, she warned him never to approach her in such a manner again, insisting she does not interfere negatively in anyone’s affairs and expects the same respect.

She responded:

“Don’t come to my DM.

I will respond with everything.

Ko ni dafun yin pelu audacity te ni.

E ni jere laye.

Iku maa pa yin.

Oloshi eeda.

I will swear for you.

Your children and your family.

Adabi. If I have interfered negatively in anyone’s matter.

If not, the wrath of God will befall you and the works of your hand”.

In another instance, a different critic accused her of exposing his profile publicly so others could attack him. Once again, Desola maintained that while people are free to say what they like elsewhere, invading her private space would not be tolerated.

Her words were clear:

"I am Ode.

Don’t come for me.

Aje, I go swear for you, your children, and your family.

Olorun

I no dey block.

I am everything they said about me, so?

Abuse me on the blogs; it is okay.

That audacity to come to my private space. I won’t take it!

You can never bully me to death.

Have got loved ones, I am living for.

Silence isn’t golden anymore “.

Desola Afod’s response highlights her refusal to be intimidated amid public scrutiny surrounding her marriage. While questions linger about her relationship status with Kunle Afod, neither party has made an official statement. For now, Desola is making one thing known  she will not be silenced or bullied over her name, her identity, or her personal life.
