Actress Bimbo Ademoye has issued a stern warning to movie pirates ahead of the release of her highly anticipated YouTube film, M&R.

Sharing her message on Instagram, the actress highlighted the growing problem of content theft in the Nigerian film industry, stressing how much effort, creativity, and financial investment goes into producing a movie.

Ademoye explained that producing a film involves creating an original story, hiring skilled scriptwriters, developing a title, and investing millions in shooting and post-production.

She expressed frustration at those who steal intellectual property, including film titles, thumbnails, or even entire movies, and upload them on unauthorized channels.

“This year, I won’t be classy with you. I’d send Sango and Ogun to wipe you out. You watch! By the time you wake up with big boil under your armpit, or in-between your thighs, or a boil that looks as big as a BBL, then you’d stop stealing from me. Anyways, M&R is coming,” she wrote.

M&R features a talented ensemble cast including Osas Ighodaro, Sunshine Rosman, and Layi Wasabi, alongside Ademoye herself.

The film is expected to draw significant attention on YouTube, where Ademoye has built a strong presence with previous productions garnering millions of views.

The warning follows a previous incident involving her earlier film, Where Love Lives, which faced copyright violations shortly after its release. Unauthorized uploads of the movie on other channels forced Ademoye to navigate a copyright dispute and work to restore monetization on the film.

The experience seems to have made her particularly vigilant about protecting her content this time around.

Bimbo Ademoye’s approach underscores a broader issue within Nollywood and the digital film space, where piracy continues to impact creators financially and diminishes the value of original content.

By openly addressing the issue, Ademoye is not only protecting her work but also sending a clear message to others in the industry: content theft will not be tolerated.

As anticipation builds for M&R, fans and followers of Bimbo Ademoye are eagerly waiting to see her latest project. The film’s release promises to showcase her acting range while also reinforcing the importance of supporting original content.

For Nigerian filmmakers, Ademoye’s stand is a timely reminder of the challenges that come with producing films in the digital age and the need to protect creative work against piracy.

With M&R set to hit YouTube soon, all eyes will be on Ademoye and her co-stars as they deliver a project that has already generated buzz and high expectations among fans and movie enthusiasts across the country.
