Nigerian actor Baba Ijesha has offered a detailed and emotional account of crossdresser Bobrisky’s experience while in custody, shedding light on moments that contrast sharply with public speculation.
Speaking about Bobrisky’s arrival, Baba Ijesha described a visibly distressed individual struggling to cope with the situation.
"When Bobrisky got to the cell, he was crying and rolling on the floor. It's not true that he was taken to the hotel."
His statement directly challenges earlier rumors that suggested preferential treatment during the detention period.
Beyond the initial shock, Baba Ijesha emphasized that Bobrisky’s personality goes deeper than the flamboyant image many people associate with him online.
"Although, he always behave like a cartoon, he is actually a very reliable person."
According to him, what many see as theatrics in public does not fully reflect his true character.
He also recounted acts of kindness that stood out during their time in custody.
"Whenever food was brought for him, he would share it with other prisoners."
This gesture, he explained, earned Bobrisky respect among fellow inmates and revealed a more compassionate side rarely highlighted in public conversations.
Baba Ijesha further spoke about the unwavering support Bobrisky received from his family, particularly his mother.
"It was his mum that used to bring food. She would cook for about 1000 prisoners and was always crying."
He painted a picture of a woman deeply affected by her child’s situation, yet determined to extend care to others in the same environment.
Addressing Bobrisky’s lifestyle, he noted that his fashion choices are also tied to his livelihood.
"All the female outfits Bobrisky wears, he uses it to make money. He is a very kind person."
This, he suggested, is part of a broader reality that many people may not fully understand.
Reflecting on his own experience, Baba Ijesha concluded with a statement that underscores how deeply the situation impacted him:
"I am now the ambassador for prisoners."
His remarks highlight not only Bobrisky’s journey but also the emotional and social realities within correctional facilities.
