Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing and several celebrities have reacted to a trending video of Sarah Martins spending quality time with a dispatch rider, days after their online exchange stirred controversy.
Recall that the rider had earlier claimed he lost his job after confessing his feelings for the actress. Sarah Martins had responded by sharing screenshots of their chats, questioning whether she should feel guilty about the situation while describing his actions as disrespectful and inappropriate.
In a later update, Martins clarified that the rider was never dismissed from work, but merely cautioned by his employer. She stressed that she has a kind heart and would never intentionally deprive anyone of their livelihood, stating that her intention was simply to ensure he was corrected.
In a new video shared on her Instagram page, the actress surprised fans by taking the rider shopping and later treating him to an upscale lunch outing. However, Martins made it clear that she was not accepting his romantic advances. Instead, she explained that the gesture was a show of kindness meant to remind him of his worth, regardless of his social or economic status.
“I’m not saying yes to his love request,” she noted. “I’m just extending my hand of love to remind him that he is worthy of affection and respect, no matter his status.”
The video quickly gained attention, drawing warm reactions from fans and celebrities alike.
Nkechi Blessing commented, “He’s not looking bad na. Give him a chance pls.”

Beyond this episode, Sarah Martins has previously made headlines for confronting inappropriate behavior. Last year, the Asaba-based actress called out a male colleague for sexualising her, revealing that he made indecent comments after watching a clip of her in an intimate role.
In another incident, Martins addressed a married woman who accused her of being her husband’s side partner. She denied the claim, stating firmly that she does not interfere in people’s marriages and alleged that the woman’s husband was involved in same-sex relationships.
Martins also recounted a separate encounter where she slapped a married man who boldly approached her for a romantic connection. She said the incident was meant as a warning, urging women to better guide their husbands, while insisting that she is a respectable woman who would never tolerate such advances.
Despite frequent controversies, Sarah Martins continues to attract attention for her bold personality, outspoken nature, and emotional openness — qualities that once again placed her in the spotlight following her kind gesture to the dispatch rider.
