In a statement shared on the hospital’s verified Instagram page, the management described the circulating reports as false and misleading, stressing that King Mitchy was never admitted to their hospital and did not pass away there.

“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged de@th of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE,” the statement read.

The hospital further clarified, “King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here. We are working with the authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing.”

The response comes hours after reports surfaced online suggesting that the influencer had died following medical complications after being rushed to a hospital in Abuja. Earlier statements attributed to her management claimed that all efforts by medical personnel at a facility identified as Prime Hospital proved unsuccessful.

According to the initial report, her team announced that despite attempts by doctors to revive her, her condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to her alleged death. They described the moment as heartbreaking, noting that King Mitchy was more than just a talent, but a vibrant individual full of life, dreams, and aspirations.

The conflicting accounts have since generated widespread confusion across social media platforms, with many fans and followers struggling to verify the true state of events. Prime Care Hospitals’ swift response appears aimed at clearing its name and addressing the growing misinformation surrounding the viral reports.

The controversy erupted shortly after King Mitchy was seen on TikTok Live, where she reportedly drank a substance identified as hypo following intense online backlash and bullying. The incident stemmed from her ongoing dispute with social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM), who had accused her of inappropriate conduct and made claims linking her to Seyi Tinubu.

The online feud escalated after King Mitchy challenged VDM over claims surrounding school renovation projects, alleging she had also completed a similar project within six days. She further dared the activist to provide ₦50 million to enable her renovate additional schools. The clash quickly spiraled, attracting massive attention, criticism, and heated debates across social media.

In the midst of the controversy, King Mitchy reportedly lost access to her business social media page and accused VDM of questioning the source of her wealth. She also alleged that he made defamatory remarks about her personal conduct, further intensifying the backlash.

To defend herself, the influencer had earlier shared screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in which the monarch praised her for her positive impact and encouraged her to keep doing good works. However, the move only added fuel to the ongoing social media storm.

The alleged TikTok Live incident, where she reportedly consumed hypo, sparked deep concern among fans and colleagues, leading to frantic calls for urgent medical intervention. Shortly after, reports of her death began trending, triggering widespread mourning before Prime Care Hospitals released its official clarification.

As investigations continue into the source of the misleading claims, Prime Care Hospitals has urged the public to rely solely on verified information from credible and official channels before sharing sensitive news, especially those involving life and death.

Meanwhile, netizens remain on edge, awaiting further official updates regarding King Mitchy’s condition, as calls grow louder for responsible online behavior and stricter action against the spread of unverified information.
