Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has released screenshots of private conversations with Queen Dami in an attempt to disprove her claim that they are no longer romantically involved.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, the street-hop star shared images of a recent chat allegedly exchanged between them on January 1, 2026. According to Portable, the conversation showed evidence of ongoing communication and financial support, including a transfer of N200,000 to Queen Dami, which she reportedly acknowledged and appreciated.
Using the leaked chats to support his position, Portable lamented that he often goes out of his way to help the women in his life but rarely receives gratitude in return. He also insisted that he had continued to pay her bills, despite her public statements distancing herself from him.
“I do a lot for them, but them no appreciate.
Make una sha try dey appreciate who dey help una.
King don’t lie.
You wey don go, wetin you want make I tell you?
Why you dey lie?
I still dey pay your bills.
Why you dey lie say I no dey exist again,” he wrote.
The online drama escalated on Monday when Portable addressed the situation during a live video session, accusing Queen Dami of publicly denying their relationship despite their alleged reconciliation. The singer claimed that they had rekindled their romance some time ago and that he had been spending several nights at her place.
Questioning her motives for denying him, Portable said he had been taking care of her financially and emotionally, expressing disappointment over what he described as her attempt to erase him from her life.
In response, Queen Dami released a screenshot of a formal petition reportedly filed against the singer, making it clear that she no longer has any romantic ties with him. She firmly stated that Portable is her ex and that all claims suggesting they are still dating or engaging in intimate relations are false.
She further warned the singer to stop spreading what she described as misleading and sexualized narratives about her, stressing that she has moved on and wants no association with him.
Dami also reportedly served Portable another legal notice, demanding an immediate withdrawal and public retraction of his statements or risk facing legal action and financial compensation claims.
“I am not in any relationship with him. He is my ex, and any story that says otherwise is false. I want nothing to do with him,” she reportedly stated, while urging him to stop dragging her name online.
Their turbulent relationship has long been a subject of public interest. Following the death of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Dami openly moved on with Portable, who confirmed their relationship during a 2023 interview. At the time, Portable claimed that Dami had only been a fan before her husband’s passing but that things changed afterward, adding that he was not in the habit of having affairs with married women.
Queen Dami later made their relationship official on Valentine’s Day, sharing affectionate posts and messages on Instagram, declaring that Portable had her heart and proudly referring to him as her man.
However, their romance soon spiralled into a public fallout marked by accusations, social media exchanges, and intense backlash. Early last year, Queen Dami announced a reconciliation with the singer, months after their messy split, which had attracted widespread criticism.
During that period, Portable publicly defended her and lashed out at critics, accusing them of attempting to destabilize his home.
With both parties now trading allegations once again, the renewed controversy has reignited debate online, leaving fans and followers divided over the true state of their relationship and the growing legal battle surrounding it.
