Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire, wife of actor Freddie Leonard, has shared a deeply personal and emotional story on social media that has left fans and followers in shock. In a post that has since gone viral, the actress recounted a narrative of betrayal, manipulation, and heartbreak, raising questions about trust, marriage, and emotional deception.
Opening her post, Peggy asked a chilling question:
“What would you do if you found out that the man you were dating was sleeping with a married woman who has kids?”
She described how, despite her suspicions, the man denied any wrongdoing:
“You asked him about it, but he completely denied it, saying they were just friends—and you believed him.”
Trusting him, she revealed that she went on to marry him:
“Eventually, you got married to him.”
However, according to Peggy, the marriage did not shield her from ongoing emotional manipulation. She explained:
“Your husband always hypes this married woman in public, but privately, he tells you how ‘local’ his so-called friend is, just to manipulate you and make sure you don’t suspect anything.”
Her post detailed how the truth eventually came to light:
“But one day, as God would have it, you found solid evidence, proof that your husband and the woman were never just friends. He had been sleeping with her.”
She went on to allege secret encounters, including hotel meetings and private visits:
“They constantly meet either in his apartment when he goes to work or in hotels.
“She also leaves her husband’s house to meet him in his apartment or in hotels.”
Adding to the shock, Peggy highlighted a glaring double standard:
“Yet this same man judges and castigates single women who sleep with married men.”
The emotional strain continued as she noticed troubling comparisons and secret activities:
“Not long after getting married, you noticed he started comparing you to his married side chick.
You later found out that he even visits her at home without her husband’s knowledge.
On some occasions, he visits while her husband is around, because the woman’s husband also believes your husband is just friends with his wife.”
The narrative grew even more unsettling when she recalled that the woman had attended her wedding:
“This same married woman even attended your wedding, and you had no problem with it at the time because you thought they were just friends.”
Peggy concluded her story with a question that has resonated with her followers:
“But now you have evidence of both of them meeting in hotels, doing things they shouldn’t be doing, and your so-called husband telling her how much he misses her, while he is still married to you.
Would you remain married to such a man?”
Since the post, social media users have reacted with shock, empathy, and intense debate, with many praising Peggy for her courage in sharing such a personal story. The post has reignited conversations about trust, betrayal, and accountability in marriage, and fans continue to follow closely for any updates.
