Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has announced plans to mark his 70th birthday with a grand celebration in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, inviting fans, colleagues and well-wishers to join him for the milestone occasion.
The actor, who turns 70 on March 5, 2026, shared the news via his Instagram page on Friday. In his post, he expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and revealed details of the birthday bash.
“I will be 70 on the 5th of March, 2026. Glory be to God, Amen! Birthday celebration at Desikiok Hotel, Rumuibekwe Estate, Port Harcourt. Come and celebrate with me! For those who will be attending, please send me a direct message. Praise be to our Lord and Master Jesus. Amen,” he wrote.
The celebration is scheduled to take place at Desikiok Hotel located in the Rumuibekwe Estate area of Port Harcourt. The event is expected to draw members of the Nollywood community, friends, family and admirers who have followed Agu’s career spanning several decades.
Born on March 5, 1956, in Enugu State, Agu has become one of the most recognisable faces in the Nigerian film industry.
