Yoruba movie star Fathia Balogun, popularly known as Fathia Williams, has fired back angrily at bloggers stirring up drama over her birthday interaction with actress Funke Akindele.
The actress, who celebrated her birthday on February 5 alongside her ex-husband Saidi Balogun, received warm messages from colleagues, including Funke.
What should have been a harmless exchange was quickly twisted online, with claims that Fathia’s response sounded cold and awkward.
During a live video session, Fathia shut down the narrative, stressing that there is no rift between her and the box office queen. She explained that Funke reached out genuinely and that her reply, “Ose Iya Ibeji” meaning “thank you, mother of twins” was simply misunderstood.
Clearly displeased, the actress warned bloggers to stop creating imaginary feuds, accusing them of invading her personal space and spreading false stories for clicks. She insisted that she has had enough of unnecessary rumours and online interference.
The clarification revives memories of a past misunderstanding in 2024, when Funke reportedly unfollowed Fathia over missed event appearances. Both actresses, however, buried the hatchet in December 2025, putting the issue to rest at least until bloggers reignited it.
