Rapper Nicki Minaj has ignited intense controversy online after launching a barrage of explosive and unsubstantiated accusations against music mogul Jay Z and South African comedian Trevor Noah, following a joke made during the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The controversy began on Grammy night when Trevor Noah, hosting the ceremony for the sixth time, made a light-hearted remark while commenting on celebrity fashion. While highlighting stars such as John Legend and Billie Eilish, Noah referenced Minaj, who did not attend the event.

“Nicki Minaj is not here. She is not here. She is still at the White House with Donald Trump, discussing very important issues,” he said, drawing laughter from the audience inside the Crypto.com Arena.

The comment appeared to strike a nerve. Shortly after the broadcast, Minaj took to X (formerly Twitter), where she posted a series of incendiary messages that quickly went viral. In her posts, she accused Noah of concealing a romantic relationship with Jay Z, framing the claim as industry “knowledge.”

“Trevor refuses to come out the closet when everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend. Allegedly,” she wrote.

Minaj then shifted her focus squarely to Jay Z, sharing a collage of images featuring the rapper alongside late singer Aaliyah and his wife, Beyoncé. She implied that both women were involved with him at young ages, escalating her claims by accusing the Roc Nation founder of predatory behaviour.

“…imagine if a 30 year old rapper was out here with a 16 year old in this day & age — and how y’all would have his head on a platter. The guy was hugging & humping on teens in broad daylight,” she wrote.

Her posts soon veered into darker territory, as she connected her allegations to broader conspiracy theories involving politics, the music industry, and what she described as ritualistic practices among powerful elites.

“Are y’all understanding that these ppl have been sacrificing children as a way of gaining & maintaining power? If you ever vote DemonCrat again, you’re just as soulless as they are & will perish,” Minaj claimed.

She further suggested that she had insider knowledge she had previously chosen not to reveal, adding: “Maybe it’s time for me to do some story times — since I was trying to not say what I know — yet they continue to attempt bullying.”

Minaj also linked the situation to her stalled music output, alleging that her career has been deliberately undermined. According to her, she will not release a new album until her recording contract is renegotiated and until she exposes what she described as systemic sabotage within the music charts.

“…since I was trying to not say what I know — yet they continue to attempt bullying,” she repeated in another post, while hinting at future revelations involving media platforms and industry executives.

Her accusations intensified further when she made claims, without evidence, that Jay Z is involved in occult practices, alleging ritual sacrifices as a means of sustaining power and influence.

“Your favorite artist has been practicing rituals in a satanic cult where they take babies from other countries & mutilate & kill them as a form of a blood sacrifice to their God… However, the JIG IS UP,” she wrote.

The posts have since triggered widespread debate across social media, with fans, critics, and industry observers reacting to the seriousness and tone of her allegations. As of now, neither Jay Z nor Trevor Noah has publicly responded to Minaj’s claims.

Despite the viral attention, none of the accusations made by Minaj have been independently verified, and they remain allegations shared solely through her social media accounts.
