Isaac Fayose, social commentator and younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, has injected fresh heat into the simmering social media spat involving King Mitchy and online activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The drama, already trending across platforms, escalated further after Fayose weighed in with a blistering critique that has sparked reactions from Nigerians nationwide.
The controversy began when King Mitchy, a popular influencer, publicly challenged VDM over his handling of funds donated for charitable causes especially school renovation projects.
She claimed she managed to renovate a school within six days and implied that VDM had sat on substantial donated funds for years without comparable tangible results.
In response to this ongoing feud, Fayose didn’t hold back. In a widely‑shared video, he questioned not just King Mitchy but also government authorities:
“Government wey dey receive allocations but no fit renovate schools, na their 0l0shó dem send go help renovate school in just six days. If e easy to renovate schools in six days, why government dey refuse do am??”
His comments quickly went viral, drawing applause from some social media users who agreed that basic public infrastructure improvements shouldn’t be outsourced to influencers, and criticism from others who saw his intervention as inflammatory.
Fayose’s blistering remarks highlight a broader debate one that straddles celebrity influence, accountability for public or donated funds, and the long‑standing frustration many Nigerians feel about government delivery on essential services.
The feud itself has seen multiple twists, including VDM mocking King Mitchy’s actions as politically motivated and King Mitchy’s business page reportedly removed amid escalating online attacks.
As social media continues to buzz with reactions from followers, pundits, and everyday Nigerians alike, one thing is clear: this story isn’t fading anytime soon.
