Nollywood actress Oluwakemisola Apesin, widely known as Kemity, has publicly addressed allegations suggesting she advanced her acting career through sexual favors. The talented Yoruba movie star took to Instagram to firmly deny the claims, stating that her rise in the Nigerian film industry is rooted in hard work, resilience, and integrity.

Sharing throwback photos from her early days, Kemity reflected on her journey in Nollywood and the sacrifices she made to build a name for herself. According to the actress, her success did not come from shortcuts but from persistence and self-development. She made it clear that she has never compromised her values for movie roles or opportunities.

She wrote:

“Throw back Thursday There is something I need to clear respectfully. Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise. I have never used my body to collect a movie role. I have never slept with anyone to get featured in any film.

I have never exchanged s*x for opportunity. Before I even met my boss, I already had two wine shops where I was selling wine.

I have always worked for my money. I am a mother. I have two daughters I am raising and training with dignity and strong values. I cannot build their future on something dirty. Everything I am today is my sweat. Everything I have achieved is hard work and God’s grace.”

Before fully committing to acting, Kemity revealed that she ran two wine shops and worked as a receptionist in Ayobo. These ventures ensured she remained financially independent while pursuing her dream in the competitive Nollywood industry. Beyond acting, she sharpened her skills in makeup artistry, a move that further strengthened her presence in film productions.

Now a proud mother of two daughters, Kemity emphasized the importance of discipline, strong family values, and consistency. She encouraged aspiring actresses to believe in their talent and resist the temptation of shortcuts or empty promises. Her story stands as a testament that success in Nollywood can be achieved through determination, hard work, and unwavering self-respect.
