Pop superstar Britney Spears has reportedly sold her entire music catalogue to publishing company Primary Wave, in what is being described as a major move in the global music industry.

According to TMZ, the deal was finalized on December 30, 2025. While the exact financial terms were not officially disclosed, sources suggest the agreement is valued similarly to Justin Bieber’s reported $200 million catalogue sale to Hipgnosis Songs Capital in 2023.

The sale covers a vast array of Spears’ iconic hits spanning her career, including classics like …Baby One More Time, (You Drive Me) Crazy, Circus, Everytime, Break The Ice, and Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know. Other standout tracks included in the deal are Gimme More, Hold It Against Me, I Wanna Go, If U Seek Amy, I’m a Slave 4 U, Lucky, and I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.

Additional songs reportedly part of the catalogue include Oops!… I Did It Again, My Prerogative, Overprotected, Piece of Me, Sometimes, Stronger, Till The World Ends, Toxic, and Womanizer.

Often hailed as the “Princess of Pop,” Spears is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of her generation. She is credited with helping to revive global interest in teen pop music and shaping the landscape of early-2000s pop culture.

By selling her music rights, Spears joins a growing list of established artists who have monetized their catalogues in recent years, including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, and Justin Bieber.

Primary Wave, the acquiring company, is known for purchasing high-value music catalogues and estates. The firm has previously secured rights linked to iconic artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Prince, and Whitney Houston. With this acquisition, Primary Wave expands its portfolio to include one of the most successful pop careers of the 21st century.

The deal marks another example of how major recording artists are increasingly turning to catalogue sales as a way to generate substantial upfront capital while allowing their music to continue earning royalties under professional management.

Spears, 44, who has had a career spanning over two decades, leaves behind a catalogue that not only shaped her career but also influenced a generation of pop music worldwide.
