There were emotional scenes online as Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh finally reconciled with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, after over a decade of bitter public conflict.

The actress shared the surprising update via a lengthy and deeply emotional post on her Instagram page, where she revealed that peace had finally returned to their once-broken relationship.

According to Tonto, the reconciliation came after ten years of public battles, unresolved wounds, bitterness, and broken communication that seemed impossible to mend.

She attributed the turnaround to divine intervention, stating that what human effort failed to fix was ultimately healed by God through humility, salvation, and sincere prayers.

Tonto described the reconciliation as a clear reminder that God never abandons what He starts and always completes His work in His own time.

In her words, peace has now replaced chaos, respect has returned where anger once thrived, and love has found its voice again, especially for the sake of their child. She emphasized that the restoration was not achieved by strength, wisdom, or personal effort, but solely by the Spirit of God.

Expressing gratitude, Tonto publicly thanked Olakunle Churchill for yielding to God’s word and choosing peace.

She prayed that their renewed relationship would remain firmly rooted in God’s mercy, grace, and protection, adding that obedience to God always leads to restoration, no matter how long or painful the journey may be.

The actress also offered words of encouragement to people facing similar struggles, urging them not to give up hope. She reassured them that God has not abandoned them and that every story God begins will surely be perfected in His time.

Tonto further described their reconciliation as living proof that the Word of God is eternal and unfailing, adding that when God moves, the human mind cannot fully comprehend the process. She noted that pride had melted, stubbornness had bowed, and plans of darkness had failed.

Concluding her message, the mother of one thanked her spiritual father for guiding and grooming her into a God-fearing woman, despite her past struggles, describing herself as once being a “total mess.”

Recall that Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill got married in 2015, but their union crashed two years later amidst serious allegations. The actress accused Churchill of domestic violence and irreconcilable differences, claims which he publicly denied.

In 2020, Churchill sought legal redress at the Abuja High Court, demanding ₦500 million in damages over a 2019 interview where Tonto allegedly made defamatory claims, including accusations of cyber fraud

The legal battle intensified when Churchill later issued a cease-and-desist letter accusing Tonto of publishing falsehoods against him and his wife, Rosy Meurer.

Tonto responded by dismissing the allegations and questioning the credibility of the lawsuit. Despite years of intense public drama and legal disputes, the former couple’s reconciliation has now sparked widespread reactions online, with many describing it as a powerful testimony of forgiveness, healing, and divine restoration.
