Veteran Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has strongly dismissed a controversial death prophecy allegedly issued against him by a self-acclaimed cleric known as Alfa Olopa Meta.
The cleric reportedly claimed that the popular singer would die on January 10, 2026, and advised him to buy a ram to avert the supposed looming danger. The prophecy quickly gained attention on social media, sparking reactions from fans and followers of the Fuji icon.
Osupa, however, did not take the claim lightly. During a live performance on Sunday, the Fuji star publicly addressed the prophecy and made it clear that he had no belief in it.
The singer described the cleric as a fake and accused him of spreading fear and falsehood in the name of religion. According to Osupa, such statements were not only irresponsible but also dangerous, as they could cause unnecessary panic among people.
While addressing the crowd, the veteran musician warned those wishing him harm to desist, insisting that negative intentions would ultimately backfire.
He stated that anyone praying or wishing for his death would meet such a fate instead, emphasizing that life and death are solely in the hands of God. His words were greeted with cheers from fans who stood firmly behind him.
Osupa went further to caution individuals he described as close enemies, unknown enemies, career enemies, and even people within his neighborhood.
He urged them to stop harboring ill will against him, stressing that envy and hatred only bring destruction to those who nurture them. According to the singer, he remains focused on his life, career, and service to humanity, rather than being distracted by baseless prophecies.
The Fuji star’s reaction has drawn widespread support online, with many Nigerians praising him for speaking out against what they described as spiritual manipulation and fear-mongering.
Several fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry have also rallied behind Osupa, urging religious leaders to act responsibly and avoid making alarming predictions about people’s lives.
Saheed Osupa, who has enjoyed decades of success in the Nigerian music industry, is regarded as one of the most influential Fuji musicians of his generation.
Over the years, he has built a loyal fan base and earned respect for his lyrical depth, cultural relevance, and consistency. His response to the prophecy has further reinforced his image as a fearless and outspoken figure.
As debates continue over the growing trend of public prophecies and sensational religious claims, Osupa’s stance has once again brought attention to the need for accountability among spiritual leaders.
For the Fuji legend, however, the message remains clear: he refuses to live in fear and believes his destiny is firmly in God’s hands alone.
