FC Barcelona edged past Real Madrid in a thrilling 3–2 victory to lift the Supercopa title on Sunday night, delivering yet another dramatic chapter in the famous El Clásico rivalry.

Barcelona dominated possession from the opening whistle and were rewarded for their early control in the 36th minute.

Raphinha broke the deadlock after a well-worked move, finishing calmly following an assist from Fermín López. The goal settled Barça, who continued to press high and move the ball with confidence.

Real Madrid, however, responded just before the break. Vinícius Júnior brought Los Blancos level in stoppage time after being set up by Gonzalo García, silencing the Barcelona supporters and briefly swinging momentum Madrid’s way.

The equaliser did not last long, as Barcelona struck back almost immediately. Robert Lewandowski restored the Catalans’ lead moments later, finishing off a move initiated by Pedri to make it 2–1 before halftime.

The drama continued early in the second half. Gonzalo García once again made his presence felt, scoring in the 45th minute plus added time to bring Real Madrid back on level terms at 2–2. With both teams trading blows, the match opened up, producing chances at both ends.

Barcelona regained the advantage in the 73rd minute through Raphinha, who netted his second goal of the night with a composed finish. The winger proved decisive, constantly troubling Madrid’s defence and justifying his influential role in the final.

Real Madrid pushed hard for another equaliser, introducing Kylian Mbappé, Arda Güler and Dani Ceballos in search of inspiration.

Despite their efforts, Barcelona’s defence held firm, aided by several key saves from the goalkeeper.

The match took a dramatic turn in stoppage time when Frenkie de Jong was shown a red card for a serious foul, leaving Barça to finish the game with ten men.

Even with the numerical advantage, Madrid were unable to find a late breakthrough. Barcelona saw out the final moments with composure, completing 91 percent of their passes and finishing the match with 68 percent possession.

The victory hands Barcelona the Supercopa title and a major psychological boost over their fiercest rivals. For Real Madrid, the defeat will sting, but the performance showed flashes of quality in a closely contested final that lived up to its billing.
