In a heartfelt response to his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, Olakunle Churchill, the businessman and former Nollywood actor, has shared his emotional reflections following her recent public apology.
The apology came after a decade of public disputes, emotional scars, and fractured communication between the two. Tonto expressed her gratitude for Churchill’s willingness to embrace peace, highlighting that their restored relationship is now grounded in faith and mutual respect.
Churchill, who recently posted pictures of Tonto and their son, King Andre, on his Instagram, recounted a moment that moved him deeply. For the first time, his son called him "Daddy." Churchill described the call as profoundly emotional, stating that it was a powerful reminder of God's unchanging power and how everything is possible through faith.
He wrote;
"I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me “Daddy” was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist.
He praised Tonto for being an incredible mother, acknowledging the positive role she has played in their son's life. “I am grateful to have my son back in my life,” he wrote, expressing thanks for the growth both he and Tonto had experienced.
"I am grateful for the journey we’ve been on and the growth we’ve experienced, and I look forward to a future filled with collaboration, respect, and peace, trusting God to guide me. I am grateful to have my son back in my life. Thank you to the amazing mother of my son, Tonto Dikeh, for doing a good job” He stated
He emphasized how their past conflicts have now been replaced by a peaceful understanding, driven by faith and mutual respect. Churchill expressed optimism for the future, one focused on collaboration and co-parenting with love and care.
Reflecting on their journey, Churchill concluded, “With God leading, healing and understanding have become possible. Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter, and we are moving forward with a sense of peace and mutual respect.”
