Veteran Nollywood actor and Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, has penned a heartfelt note of appreciation to actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo, praising him for a rare and selfless show of love.
Taking to his Instagram page, Mr Latin revealed that Femi Adebayo visited his movie set without placing any conditions, billing, or expectations on his appearance.
According to him, the gesture was done purely from the heart and served as a reminder that genuine kindness still exists within the industry.
Expressing deep gratitude, the veteran actor said the experience touched him deeply and reaffirmed his belief in good people. He prayed for divine blessings upon Adebayo, noting that such kindness deserves rewards beyond material wealth.
“My dear brother @femiadebayosalami, you came to my set without conditions, without bills, without expectations — just from the heart,” Mr Latin wrote.
“It reminds you that good people still exist. I am sincerely grateful for this rare show of love. May God repay you in ways money can’t buy.”
Mr Latin’s public appreciation of Femi Adebayo comes amid ongoing claims surrounding the actor’s alleged mistreatment of his estranged wife, Iyana Aduke, and their child.
Kemi Filani News had earlier reported that Aduke trended online after her popular eatery in Yaba, Lagos, was sealed by the Armed Forces over an alleged unpaid bank loan.
The situation drew further attention when Yeye Kudi Court weighed in, raising concerns over how Adebayo was allegedly treating his estranged wife and their autistic child.
She claimed that Aduke was asked to vacate both her residence and business premises without prior notice, even while customers were still present and eating.
Despite the controversy, Mr Latin’s post focused solely on the kindness shown to him, without addressing the allegations surrounding Adebayo’s personal life.
This is not the first time Mr Latin has publicly acknowledged gestures of goodwill from colleagues. The veteran actor had previously expressed gratitude to actress Yetunde Barnabas for her Christmas gift, offering prayers for her in return. He has also been vocal about promoting peace within the industry.
Last year, Mr Latin accepted reconciliation after forgiving actress Nkechi Blessing, following her public apology to him and other TAMPAN leaders. He commended her courage for owning up to her mistakes and appealing for peace, which eventually led to the lifting of her ban.
However, the TAMPAN president has not been without controversy himself. Veteran actor Pariolodo recently called him out online, accusing him of refusing to assist during a difficult period.
In response, Mr Latin stated in an interview that the association had spent over ₦10 million on the actor’s health challenges, adding that many actors who solicit funds publicly are not registered members of TAMPAN.
Despite the criticisms and surrounding controversies, Mr Latin’s message to Femi Adebayo highlights moments of unity and goodwill within Nollywood, even in times of public scrutiny.
