Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has sent a strong but emotional message to the fans of May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, following rising concerns over online toxicity, threats, and harassment allegedly carried out in May’s name.
In a lengthy and heartfelt post shared on her Instagram page, Georgina addressed the popular fan base known as “May Nation”, acknowledging their unwavering support for May since her highly publicised marital crisis. However, she expressed deep concern that some malicious individuals have infiltrated the community, using May’s name to spread hate, issue threats, and provoke chaos online.
Georgina made it clear that such behaviour does not reflect May’s character or values.
“May is not a violent person.
She does not threaten.
She does not harass.
She does not go after people’s families.
She does not engage in cruelty.”
She described May as a calm, peace-loving, and dignified woman whose strength lies in silence and restraint, urging supporters to mirror her virtues rather than act out of anger.
Addressing May Nation directly, Georgina wrote:
“First and foremost, thank you sincerely and deeply for standing with my sister, May Yul-Edochie, through everything… Most of you are genuine supporters. You want May to succeed, to heal, and to thrive.”
However, the actress revealed that the situation has taken a disturbing turn. According to her, someone close to her recently received a vile message threatening children and family members, allegedly sent under the banner of May Nation.
“Let me be very clear: that does not represent May, nor does it represent May Nation.”
She stressed that May Nation has no headquarters, explaining that it is simply a collective of people united by justice and love, not a platform for intimidation or violence. Georgina pleaded with fans to remain vigilant and continue to fight peacefully.
“If you love her, mirror her heart.
Mirror her kindness.
Mirror her restraint.
Mirror her grace.”
Georgina also condemned efforts by detractors to provoke May into reacting publicly, noting that May has endured threats, cruelty, and harassment but has consistently chosen peace.
Quoting an Igbo proverb, she wrote:
“Ama ndi aneze — dignity in silence.”
The actress further recalled her past criticisms of Yul Edochie, especially after he advised women to emulate his second wife by praising their husbands publicly.
Georgina had described his conduct as childish, stating that a man rejected by a woman who resorts to begging and manipulation shows weakness, pain, and fragile masculinity.
She also previously slammed Judy Austin for mourning May’s late son, questioning the sincerity of her grief given her role in the family’s breakdown and emotional trauma.
Georgina Onuoha’s message has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many applauding her for drawing a clear line between genuine support and harmful fanaticism, while reinforcing May Edochie’s image as a woman of strength, dignity, and grace.
