Nollywood actor and producer Yekini Ibrahim, popularly known as Iteledicon, has announced a major milestone for his film Koleoso, revealing that the project has officially surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. The achievement, which he described as historic, positions Koleoso as the first Nollywood title—and the first African movie released as a single title—to reach the 100 million views mark on the video-sharing platform.

Taking to his Instagram page to share the news, the elated filmmaker expressed deep pride in the accomplishment, crediting years of hard work, consistency, and creative dedication for the breakthrough. According to Ibrahim, the milestone represents not just a personal victory but a collective win for his team, supporters, and the wider Nigerian and African film industry.

Announcing the feat, he wrote:

“History. Record. Legacy. Koleoso hits 100million + views. In total. Officially, the first Nollywood title and the first African movie title to hit this milestone on YouTube as one title. Yes—one title. One story. One movement.”

Ibrahim went on to emphasise that the success of Koleoso was the result of deliberate effort and long-term commitment to quality storytelling and audience engagement.

“Hard work. Consistency. Creativity. From day zero, we won this. Let this be known that I, Ibrahim Yekini Bakare (Iteledicon), am the FIRST to pull this stunt in the history of Nollywood. Do not deny me my flower,” he added.

The actor-producer also took a moment to acknowledge the people behind the scenes and those who stood by the project from its early days, describing the achievement as a shared victory.

“I am proud of myself, proud of my team, proud of my family,” he stated.

Beyond personal accolades, Iteledicon highlighted the role of his fans, whom he fondly referred to as the “Koleoso family,” noting that their unwavering support made the record possible.

“This is a strong fan base. My Koleoso family, my legends—you made this happen,” he wrote.

Extending his gratitude further, Ibrahim praised the cast and crew who contributed to the project, stressing that the milestone should be celebrated as a broader cultural triumph.

“To the cast and crew—this is our win. This is a win for Nollywood. This is a win for Africa. A win for the culture. A win for the Yorubas. A win for Nigeria,” he said.

Describing the moment as surreal, the filmmaker underscored the significance of the numbers, insisting that the data speaks for itself.

“This hits different. This is loud. This is magical. This is unbelievable. This is golden. Please use your calculator for clarity. Numbers don’t lie,” he concluded.

The success of Koleoso underscores the growing influence of digital platforms like YouTube in amplifying Nollywood content and reaching global audiences. It also highlights how Nigerian filmmakers are increasingly leveraging online distribution to break new ground, bypass traditional limitations, and connect directly with millions of viewers worldwide.

For Iteledicon, the 100 million views milestone is not just a record-breaking moment but a defining chapter in his career—one that cements Koleoso as a landmark project in African cinema and reinforces Nollywood’s expanding digital footprint on the global stage.
