Desola Afod, wife of popular Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has stirred massive reactions online following her bold response to criticism about a video she shared with Fuji singer Malaika.
The mother of four had posted a light-hearted video on her Instagram page showing herself enjoying a friendly moment with the Fuji musician. While many fans saw nothing wrong with the clip, a social media user accused Desola of embarrassing her husband and alleged she was “dating” the singer.
The critic wrote: “Embarrassing your husband in public is not fair. You’re dating him! Keep it private.”
Unfazed by the accusation, Desola fired back with a sharp response, making it clear she had no intention of explaining herself or addressing rumours. She suggested that only people who are not proud of their partners feel the need to hide relationships.
“If e reach your turn, hide it when you date better people. Aye gbogbo yin maa baje ni. I no go debunk anything,” she wrote, ending her message with the now-viral phrase, “Aura for aura.”
Her response quickly gained traction across social media platforms, sparking debates among fans and followers. While many praised her confidence and unapologetic stance, others continued to speculate about the nature of her relationship with the Fuji singer.
Despite the mixed reactions, Desola Afod has made it clear that online opinions will not dictate her actions or force her into explanations she believes are unnecessary.
