Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has set social media ablaze after revealing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu lives next door to her current Ikoyi residence in Lagos, Nigeria.
The music icon made the disclosure during an interview with content creator Korty, where she described her luxurious home as a “safe haven” due to its security and proximity to the president’s residence on iconic Bourdillon Road.
Savage said of her temporary home: “To be honest, this is like my temporary place… So this is like my safe haven till then. I feel safe. I feel safe actually. I actually feel a little bit important ’cause the president’s house is in front.”
Her candid remarks have since fuelled widespread debate online, with supporters and critics weighing in across platforms like X, Instagram and TikTok.
The singer also explained that her Ikoyi residence is not permanent, sharing that she is currently building a new house at another undisclosed location which will be ready next year.
