The burial announcement comes amid widespread grief following the sudden passing of the actress. It was earlier reported on the 27th that Allwell Ademola died after suffering a heart attack at her residence. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by several of her colleagues in the entertainment industry through their respective social media platforms.
Prominent Nollywood figures including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to publicly mourn her, describing her death as a painful loss to the Yoruba movie industry.
In an earlier official message released by her family, it was revealed that Allwell Ademola was 49 years old at the time of her passing. The family expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming show of love, prayers and condolence messages received from colleagues, friends and well-wishers across the country and beyond. They also prayed for her soul to rest peacefully, promising that burial details would be shared in due course — a promise now fulfilled with the latest announcement.
Reacting emotionally to her death, Rotimi Salami poured out his grief in a touching tribute, noting that even days after her passing, the pain remained unbearable. He lamented that “72 hours of endless tears still can’t bring her back,” adding that although things were not well emotionally, he was learning to move forward for the sake of his family, friends, fans and, most importantly, his children.
Actress Biola Bayo also recalled her final moments with the late movie star, describing Allwell Ademola as one of the happiest souls she had ever known. Struggling to accept the reality of her loss, Biola appealed emotionally for someone to wake her up from what she described as a nightmare.
Similarly, Regina Chukwu admitted she was still in denial over the actress’s death, stating that she found it difficult to believe Allwell was truly gone. She revealed that they had recently been making plans together for the shoot of Aarin’s Sequel, making the loss even more painful.
Actor Jamiu Azeez also shared memories of his last encounter with the deceased, describing her as vibrant, lively and full of joy. According to him, they laughed, played and shared moments of genuine happiness shortly before her death. He noted that Allwell was friendly with everyone and reflected emotionally on the final words he spoke to her.
Recalling a moment from years back, Folorunsho Adeola revealed that during Allwell Ademola’s 40th birthday celebration, she ensured the actress was honoured with a moment of silence as a mark of respect. Writing an emotional note on Instagram, Folorunsho stated that Allwell mattered deeply to her, recounting the kindness and good deeds she was known for.
She added that although the actress was no longer physically present, “she lives on in our stories, our prayers, and in our quiet moments.”
As preparations continue for her final journey, tributes continue to pour in, reflecting the deep impact Allwell Ademola made both on-screen and in the lives of those who knew her personally. Her burial is expected to draw colleagues, friends, fans and well-wishers who will gather to celebrate a life remembered for warmth, talent and humanity.
