Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has spoken candidly about life after the popular reality TV show, revealing why she no longer advises people to audition for BBNaija.

During a recent Twitch livestream, the reality TV star shared her honest perspective on what happens once the cameras stop rolling. According to Phyna, the massive fame and admiration housemates enjoy inside the Big Brother house often fail to translate into long-term relevance after the show ends.

She explained that while contestants feel highly confident and celebrated during the season, that excitement fades quickly once a new edition begins.

Phyna stated that “fans move on fast,” noting that the same fan base simply transfers loyalty from one set of housemates to the next. As a result, many former contestants struggle to maintain visibility, influence, and public interest after their season concludes. She stressed that popularity on the show is temporary and should not be mistaken for lasting stardom.

The BBNaija champion also addressed the widespread belief that appearing on the reality show guarantees instant wealth and success. According to her, that assumption is misleading. She revealed that many ex-housemates quietly battle financial pressure, emotional stress, and mental health challenges, even as social media forces them to project an image of success.

Phyna further remarked that “the prestige is gone,” explaining that being introduced as a former BBNaija housemate no longer commands the respect or recognition it once did. She said the platform has changed over the years, making post-show survival even more competitive.

Warning aspiring contestants, Phyna advised them to fully understand what comes after the show before auditioning. She emphasized the importance of being mentally and emotionally prepared for public scrutiny, online criticism, and unstable income opportunities once attention shifts elsewhere.

She also revealed that many former housemates are forced to compete fiercely for relevance, brand endorsements, and financial stability, as the spotlight quickly turns to newer contestants.

Meanwhile, Phyna recently made headlines after calling out Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, in a viral video. She accused him of unfairly attacking his ex-wife, Shelia, and criticised his conduct following their separation, sparking widespread reactions online.
