AFRIMA 2026 Red Carpet To Shine As Enioluwa, Claudia Naisabwa, Tosyn Bucknor Lead Glamorous Showcase In Lagos
Anticipation is building ahead of the 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) as attention shifts to one of the event’s most anticipated highlights — the iconic red carpet. Designed as a celebration of style, culture and African excellence, the AFRIMA Red Carpet promises a dazzling display of fashion and celebrity flair when it unfolds in Lagos.
The red carpet event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, beginning at 3:30 pm (WAT) and running through 6:30 pm. This glamorous showcase will set the tone ahead of the main awards ceremony, which officially kicks off at 7:00 pm (WAT).
Leading the red carpet presentation are two celebrated media personalities from different parts of Africa. Nigerian influencer, actor and lifestyle host Enioluwa Adeoluwa, popularly known as Eni, will serve as co-host alongside Kenyan actress and television personality Claudia Naisabwa. The pair are expected to bring a blend of elegance, humour and pan-African energy as they welcome top artistes, celebrities and industry leaders arriving for the awards.
With Enioluwa’s vibrant on-screen presence and Claudia’s polished hosting style, viewers can expect engaging conversations, memorable interviews and captivating moments as Africa’s biggest music stars make their entrance.
Fashion will also take centre stage, with renowned media figure and style analyst Tosyn Bucknor appointed as the event’s fashion police. Known for his bold commentary and deep understanding of fashion storytelling, Tosyn will dissect red carpet looks, spotlighting standout designs, daring fashion risks and trend-setting ensembles.
Joining him is fashion commentator Ariane Celeste Moua, who will bring her own sharp perspective to the red carpet analysis. Together, the duo will offer entertaining and insightful breakdowns of the night’s most talked-about outfits, celebrating creativity while critiquing execution.
Speaking on the carefully selected red carpet lineup, AFRIMA’s Associate Producer, Victoria Nkong, described the segment as a major cultural moment that goes beyond fashion.
“The AFRIMA red carpet has grown into a major entertainment moment. It is where music meets fashion and culture. With Eni, Claudia, Tosyn and Ariane, viewers across the world should expect colour, class and unforgettable moments,” Nkong said.
She further explained that the red carpet serves as an important platform for African creatives, especially designers and stylists, to project African identity and innovation to a global audience.
“Beyond the awards themselves, the red carpet gives artistes and designers the opportunity to showcase confidence, creativity and cultural pride on a global stage,” she added.
AFRIMA 2026, widely regarded as Africa’s biggest music celebration, is currently in full swing in Lagos, running from January 7 to January 11, 2026. The week-long festival opened with a Welcome Soirée for nominees and special guests, hosted by the British High Commission in Nigeria, setting an elegant tone for the events that followed.
The celebration continued with the Africa Music Business Summit, which brought together artistes, industry stakeholders, policymakers and entrepreneurs to discuss the future of Africa’s music industry. The summit focused on sustainability, global opportunities and economic growth within the creative sector.
Fans were also treated to thrilling performances at the AFRIMA Music Village, an open-air concert that featured some of Africa’s biggest names, including Femi Kuti, Skales, Wande Coal, Diamond Platnumz, Mavo and Yemi Alade. The concert further reinforced AFRIMA’s reputation as a unifying platform for African music and culture.
The festival will reach its climax on Sunday, January 11, with the highly anticipated awards ceremony. The main event will be co-hosted by Nigerian rapper and actor Falz, alongside French-Senegalese actress and media personality Liliane Maroune.
AFRIMA 2026 will be broadcast live to audiences in more than 84 countries, airing on DStv Channel 196, GOtv Channel 28, and via DStv Stream. The global broadcast further underscores Lagos’ growing reputation as a leading centre for music, entertainment and cultural tourism in Africa.
As the countdown continues, all eyes remain on the red carpet — where fashion, music and African excellence will converge in spectacular style.
