In a video now circulating widely online, 2Baba dismissed all the allegations as false, stressing that the actions of his family have escalated a private issue into a public crisis.
According to him, what began as concern has turned into something that is putting his wife in serious danger. He revealed that Natasha is currently receiving death threats because of the accusations.
“My family, who claim they want to save me, have actually destroyed me and damaged someone’s daughter’s character. Natasha is getting death threats right now,” he said.
The singer insisted that he is mentally stable, fully active in his career, and capable of making his own decisions. He noted that he recently held a successful show in Abuja and remains in good health.
“I’m a grown man, and I have the right to be with whoever I want to be with. I’m perfectly okay,” he said.
2Baba admitted that he and Natasha had a disagreement, but added that it was nothing unusual within a marriage.
What he finds troubling, he said, is how his family has turned a normal quarrel into a full-blown scandal. “Yes, we had a quarrel, which is normal between couples, but this is getting out of hand,” he explained.
Visibly emotional in the video, the music star accused his family of repeating a pattern he claimed they displayed during his past relationship with actress Annie Idibia.
He said their constant interference has caused him deep pain and is now affecting his home once again. “My family did this with Annie too. I’m a peaceful person, but this is getting to me too much,” he said.
Describing the petition as a collection of “fabricated lies and stories,” 2Baba said the situation has left him emotionally drained. He added that he plans to speak openly about many issues he has kept silent about in the past.
He also appealed to those sending threats and hateful messages to Natasha to stop immediately. “This tag of me being mentally unstable is ridiculous and equivalent to killing somebody. This has to stop,” he said.
He further urged his family to withdraw from his private affairs. According to him, their actions are causing more damage than protection.
“Writing petitions and saying all sorts of nonsense is not fair. I want my family to stay out of my private and personal life. Just let me be,” he pleaded.
Ending his message, 2Baba appealed for peace and understanding. He said the crisis has already caused too much harm to his wife and his home. “Natasha has been hurt terribly. In the name of saving me, you are destroying another person’s life. Please, just let us be,” he said.
