A fresh wave of online reactions has trailed the ongoing drama involving music icon 2Baba and his wife, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, after several Nigerian women stormed Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live session pleading for men to “save” the legendary singer.
This followed an explosive interview conducted by Daddy Freeze on Monday evening, where a former staff member of 2Baba, identified simply as Kaka, detailed a series of troubling incidents allegedly involving the couple during the singer’s recent UK tour. In the interview, Kaka claimed that a major altercation occurred while they were abroad, insisting that Natasha regularly obstructed 2Baba’s growth and exercised “psychological control” over him.
According to Kaka, the singer rarely opposed Natasha while in Nigeria, but during their tour, he became more outspoken about wanting progress in his music and business ventures. Kaka alleged that Natasha felt insecure about 2Baba’s rising success, fearing it would make him more difficult to control. He described her behavior as “psychologically diminishing,” claiming it affected the singer’s confidence and mental well-being. He further revealed that he eventually distanced himself from the couple because he felt Natasha’s attitude was harming 2Baba’s career.
Kaka also recounted a dramatic incident at Lagos Airport before their departure to the UK. He said Natasha accused 2Baba of attempting to leave her behind, sparking a commotion that allegedly continued on the flight, in the airport lounge, and even upon arrival in the UK. He noted that he repeatedly stepped in to calm the tensions.
The drama intensified during Daddy Freeze’s live broadcast when 2Baba himself unexpectedly joined the stream to address the issue. The conversation quickly devolved into a heated argument between the singer and Natasha, forcing 2Baba to abruptly exit the live session—an action that only heightened public concern.
Following the viral broadcast, many Nigerian women flocked to Daddy Freeze’s comment section demanding that men intervene and “save” the singer. Reactions poured in rapidly:
One Akobi Oyemekun wrote, “These women are soliciting for our support because it’s their turn to marry 2baba when he finally regains his freedom.”
Cute Nneka, however, disagreed, saying, “2baba doesn’t need any help, he went for this, and he has to figure it out.”
Another viewer, the_huncho_, joked, “2baba wey fit vex marry another woman tomorrow una say him need help.”
A commenter named Lacuna added, “I strongly believe that 2face is seriously under the influence of kanyamata… let his mother rise to help him on this.”
Others chimed in with similar sentiments, from urging him to “enjoy the marriage” to criticizing him for becoming what one user described as a “gigolo.”
This renewed online frenzy comes hours after videos surfaced showing the moment 2Baba was handcuffed and reportedly arrested in the UK following an altercation with Natasha. While initial reports of the incident emerged in October—coinciding with allegations that Natasha was pregnant at the time—2Baba dismissed the arrest claims, insisting he missed his performance due to a medical emergency.
The situation has continued to spiral, with multiple voices weighing in. The singer’s mother previously pleaded with Natasha to “remove the beads” she allegedly placed on him, suggesting he was not in his right state of mind amid divorce proceedings with Annie Idibia.
2Baba himself has had shifting public statements—once declaring on Nedu’s podcast that “a man isn’t built to be sexually active with one woman,” then later apologizing in an emotional video, admitting, “I fucked up,” and calling Natasha “the love of my life.”
Family members and celebrities have also expressed concern. His brother Charles Idibia said 2Baba had been dragged “from inside the frying pan into an industrial furnace,” accusing Natasha of manipulation. OAP Do2dtun suggested the singer was “vulnerable,” while comedian Ayo Makun lamented society’s tendency to ignore men’s emotional struggles. Singer Cynthia Morgan advised Natasha that she “can’t purge a man like 2face into monogamy overnight,” urging prayers for him.
Daddy Freeze himself delivered a stern observation, claiming 2Baba was “depreciating and turning from a Bentley to a Corolla,” while Annie was “evolving into a Queen,” and warning that the singer could become “a puppet.”
As reactions intensify, fans across social media continue to debate what really lies behind the turmoil surrounding 2Baba and Natasha.
