The family of late Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has finally spoken out following her sudden and heartbreaking death, putting an end to speculations surrounding the tragic incident.

News of Allwell Ademola’s passing broke on Saturday night, sending shockwaves through the Nigerian film industry. Reports confirmed that the actress died after suffering a heart attack at her residence. Several of her colleagues in Nollywood took to social media almost immediately to express grief, disbelief, and deep sorrow over the loss.

Prominent actors including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to publicly mourn the actress, describing her death as a painful blow to the industry.

In an official family statement, shared by her close friend and colleague Rotimi Salami, the Ademola family confirmed her passing and revealed that the beloved actress was 49 years old at the time of her death. The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and condolence messages received from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across the country and beyond.

While praying for her soul to rest in peace, the family assured the public that burial arrangements would be announced at a later date, urging everyone to keep them in their thoughts during this difficult time.

Allwell Ademola’s death has reignited conversations around her emotional life, particularly her long-standing grief over the loss of her late lover. Earlier this month, the actress had openly reflected on the pain of losing him, admitting that despite the passage of time, she still missed him deeply and that “it still hurts.” She added that she believed he was proud of her and asked him to “rest well.”

In a past interview, Allwell had also explained why she remained unmarried at 41. According to her, she was meant to get married in 2005, but tragedy struck when the love of her life was killed. She revealed that she was on a phone call with him when he was shot, an incident that left her emotionally shattered and traumatised for two years.

As tributes continue to pour in, Allwell Ademola is being remembered not just for her talent, but for her strength, vulnerability, and enduring love.
