Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has marked a major personal milestone, celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Jumobi.
The 64-year-old style icon shared the special occasion on Instagram on Monday, posting a series of intimate photos that captured moments of laughter, love, and companionship throughout their marriage.
Reflecting on the significance of a quarter-century together, RMD described the milestone as “no small feat” and credited the longevity of their union to divine intervention.
“25 years na your mate? Even if na beans to cook am nor easy o. Oghene is involving not where else for dey? To expanded horizons,” he wrote in Pidgin English, expressing gratitude for God’s role in their enduring relationship.
RMD tied the knot with Jumobi, a former television presenter, in 2000, four years after the passing of his first wife, May Ellen Ezekiel. Together, the couple has two children, complementing the two he had from his previous marriage, making him a father of four.
Born in Delta State, RMD has remained a stalwart in Nollywood, boasting a career spanning over three decades. Over the years, he has earned numerous accolades, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2005 and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016.
