The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has called on Nigeria’s security personnel to take decisive action against armed individuals endangering citizens across the country.

Delivering his message on Sunday at the church’s headquarters in Abuja, Enenche said members of the armed forces have a sworn responsibility to protect the nation and should not hesitate to confront those who threaten innocent lives.

He emphasized that anyone using weapons to intimidate or harm citizens should be stopped immediately, noting that such action does not require further approval from any authority.

“This is time for anybody in the military to rise up and waste every devils without looking back. If you are recruited in the military forces and you are sworn to defend the integrity of this nation, everyone who rises at any time to harm the lives of innocent people, you don’t need any permission from any quarter to clear them out. You need no permission from nowhere,” he said.

He added that all security agencies have a mandate to respond swiftly:

“Whether you are in the Air Force, Navy, or in the Army, or in the paramilitary forces and you see demon agents carrying guns up and down intimidating people, you need no permission from nobody to clean the land.”

Enenche referenced the recent declaration of emergency in the security sector, saying the government has already authorised the disarmament of terrorists and their backers.

“The other day, there was a declaration of emergency in the security sector. That is official and from the government. And it has also been declared that terrorists and their agents are to be disarmed at all costs.”

He condemned the presence of armed individuals in forests and rural communities, saying such behaviour must not be tolerated.

“Nobody is permitted to be roaming about the bush with weapons looking for who to kill. It is capital punishment. So if you see any so-called herdsman carrying a weapon, it is an abomination,” he said.
