Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has celebrated her husband’s 10th year on the throne with a touching tribute expressing love, admiration, and gratitude.
Sharing her message on Instagram, Queen Ashley praised the Ooni’s leadership over the past decade, highlighting his wisdom, integrity, and humility in navigating the challenges of kingship. She prayed for continued divine guidance, strength, and favour to accompany his reign in the years ahead.
Reflecting on the past ten years, she described the period as one marked by “grace, wisdom, and divine strength,” acknowledging the monarch’s commitment to serving his people with humility and dedication.
Addressing the Ooni affectionately, she wrote, “My Dearest Husband, Ooni Agbaye, Olofin Ajalaye, Olori Alade Gbogbo, My King, The One Whose Heart I Hold and Who Holds Mine… Happy 10th Coronation Anniversary to You, My Love.”
She recalled a prophecy from her late father, who foresaw the Ooni’s destiny and predicted that they would journey through life together. “Among many princes, he foretold that you would be the chosen one to ascend the throne and that we would walk this divine path side by side,” she shared.
Queen Ashley expressed immense pride in her husband’s achievements, describing him as her “crown jewel, confidant, love, and king,” while also praying for his continued success. “May your reign flourish in wisdom, grace, and divine favor, as Olodumare continues to guide your path,” she added.
She also celebrated their marriage, which has endured trials and challenges, giving thanks for divine protection over their union. Their son, Adémákinwá, was described as a “precious gift” and a source of joy and purpose.
Concluding her tribute, Queen Ashley reaffirmed her love and loyalty, wishing the Ooni many more years of fruitful reign: “May your crown never fall, and may the light of Olodumare shine upon you… Cheers to you, my King, my love, my HUSBAND, for ten glorious years and countless more decades to come.”
