A social media commentator has sparked fresh debate online after claiming that popular content creator Peller’s recent car accident was not caused by emotional distress from relationship problems, but rather by jealousy, rivalry, and pressure linked to the fast-rising success of fellow influencer Carter Efe.
The controversy followed an incident in which the TikToker reportedly crashed his Mercedes Benz, just days after a viral video surfaced showing him visibly emotional and in tears. While many fans initially speculated that the situation stemmed from romantic troubles involving his alleged partner, Jarvis, a new narrative has now emerged.
In a video that has since gained traction across social media platforms, online commentator FrankEmeks alleged that Peller has been battling intense stress due to constant comparisons with Carter Efe.
According to him, fans have increasingly pointed out that Carter Efe appears to be outperforming Peller in terms of influence, relevance, and engagement, particularly during TikTok livestreams.
FrankEmeks argued that Carter Efe’s growing dominance in the entertainment and digital content space has overshadowed Peller’s presence, putting pressure on him to remain relevant. He further suggested that this pressure may have pushed Peller into engaging in attention-seeking behavior in a bid to reclaim his position among top Nigerian TikTok influencers.
The commentator also criticized the narrative that places blame on Jarvis, stating that she has been unfairly portrayed as the reason behind Peller’s emotional breakdown. According to him, the relationship storyline is merely a distraction from deeper issues rooted in competition, insecurity, and fear of being eclipsed by a rival.
Speaking in the viral clip, FrankEmeks said:
"Peller wan kpai himself because of Carter Efe. Ever since Peller’s fans start dey complain say Carter Efe don dey do well pass am, him con Dey do anything possible to trend so he can take back his position in TikTok livestreaming. So him come think wetin e go do, e come use Jarvis as scapegoat, him wan come dey claim say Jarvis want to leave am, him wan come kpai himself.."
As discussions continue online, fans remain divided, with some calling for empathy for Peller amid mounting pressure, while others urge influencers to prioritize mental health over online validation.
