Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, has issued a firm message to business owners on the importance of customer satisfaction.
The mother of one took to her Instagram page on Sunday to express concern over the increasing number of negative customer experiences she has witnessed online and personally encountered.
The actress, who is known for speaking openly on social issues, stressed that no business can thrive if customers constantly leave with frustration or disappointment.
According to her, there is absolutely nothing more valuable than ensuring that customers walk away satisfied, respected, and eager to return.
Tonto narrated that she was in the middle of a particular transaction that left her deeply irritated, noting that such an experience can easily push a customer away forever.
She emphasized that bad service, especially during a first-time purchase, is enough to ruin a business and force owners into desperately searching for new customers to replace the ones they have lost.
In her words, she likened bad customer experience to “praying for grace while also becoming the weapon fashioned against that grace.”
Tonto explained that many business owners unknowingly sabotage themselves through poor communication, zero professionalism, and lack of proper training. She urged them to understand that customer satisfaction is not just good practice but a lifeline for their survival.
Her message read: “Dear business owners, there is nothing better than leaving your customers satisfied.
I just can’t wait to finish this transaction; such a horrible experience. If your customers leave with this mentality, it’s just a matter of time before you look for more customers. And it’s worse when the experience is on the first buy. It’s like praying for grace and also being the weapon fashioned against grace.”
This is not the first time Tonto Dikeh is using her platform to address issues surrounding personal growth, business ethics, and responsibility.
In July, the actress advised Nigerians to stop relying solely on fasting and prayers for matters that require common sense, knowledge, and disciplined action.
She told her followers never to play with their source of income and to treat their hustle with seriousness every day.
Earlier in the year, she also appealed to Yoruba people on social media to use English whenever they engage in online fights so that “Internet judges” can understand who truly won the argument.
She humorously made the same appeal to Ghanaians, asking them to fight in English for clarity.
Last December, Tonto raised alarm about a new scam method where criminals accuse innocent people of making fake transfers in public. She urged Nigerians to stay alert and protect themselves at all times, noting that the streets are becoming increasingly unpredictable.
Beyond her social media commentary, Tonto Dikeh has continued to share messages about self-awareness and personal conduct.
She recently spoke on how secret actions shape one’s character, choices, and future, urging people to live intentionally and understand who they are in every environment.
With her latest post, the actress has once again sparked conversations about business ethics and the urgent need for better customer service in Nigeria’s growing commercial sector.
