Popular Nigerian social media activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has earned massive admiration online after announcing plans to sponsor a brilliant young Nigerian inventor abroad, using a $50,000 cash gift he recently received from a benefactor.

VDM revealed that the funds came after someone fulfilled a long-standing financial promise, inspired by his consistent humanitarian efforts and social advocacy. Rather than splurging the money, the outspoken activist said his thoughts immediately returned to a gifted young boy he had previously encountered on Instagram.

According to VDM, the child stood out because of his exceptional creativity and intelligence. The young Nigerian reportedly built a functional blender, power bank, and projector completely from scratch, using locally sourced materials. Deeply moved by the boy’s ingenuity, VDM said he felt compelled to intervene before the child’s potential is wasted.

“I will not let that boy’s life or talent die like many others in Nigeria,” the activist stated.

VDM explained that many talented Nigerian youths are often forgotten due to lack of support, exposure, and resources. He stressed that this situation must change, especially for children showing rare technical brilliance at a young age.

Confirming progress, VDM disclosed that he has already reached out to the boy and his parents to begin arrangements for the child’s educational future. He emphasized that his own rise to prominence comes with a moral obligation to uplift others.

“God has helped him rise and placed a responsibility on him,” VDM said, reflecting on why he feels duty-bound to give back.

While admitting that a portion of the $50,000 would be used to settle personal debts, the activist made it clear that the boy’s education and future remain his top priority. He concluded by pledging to send the child overseas, where his talent can be properly nurtured, protected, and developed.

VDM’s announcement has since triggered emotional reactions across social media, with many Nigerians praising him for choosing impact over luxury and for shining a light on homegrown innovation and youth empowerment.
