Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe has stirred massive reactions on social media after revealing her daughter, Michelle Aigbe’s shocking request regarding her future wedding.
The popular actress and mother of two shared the unexpected conversation in a light-hearted Instagram post, where she expressed disbelief that Michelle would ever dream of having a small wedding.
Mercy Aigbe disclosed that she had just finished speaking with her daughter when Michelle dropped the surprising request. According to her, Michelle said, “Mummy, please, I don’t want a big wedding.” The actress immediately rejected the idea and called on her loyal fans and “online mummies” to join her in responding.
“So I just got off the phone, and the last thing Michelle said is Mummy, please, I don’t want a big wedding, oh! Please, as online mummies and as my fans, please help me reply her.

The post ignited a frenzy among Nollywood celebrities and influencers who stormed her comment section to tease Michelle and support Mercy’s stance.
Actress Nkechi Blessing humorously dismissed Michelle’s wish, writing, “Nibo? Ko possible.”
Similarly, Etinosa Idemudia joked, “Come off it, dear. I have organised Okuku and Atilogu dancers already.”
Influencer Papaya Ex added her voice: “When Oversabi Aunty is active. I trust Toyin Abraham.”
Responding, Toyin Abraham playfully backed Mercy, commenting, “She’s playing, don’t mind her.” She later added, “She’s just whining us, especially me.”
Comic actor Jigan also joined in the fun, saying, “Dey play o, put a boosting gloves on x3.”
However, not all comments were aligned. Actress Bakare Zainab offered a softer view: “At the end of the day, please give our baby girl what she wants.”
Sarah Martins and Uche Elendu also reacted with amusement, with Uche writing, “I agree, my darling. As small as mummy wanted your grandma’s funeral.
