There is renewed excitement among fans and followers of Anita Okoye, the former wife of Nigerian music star Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), following her long-anticipated return to Nigeria.
The Master’s degree holder announced her arrival through her Instagram page, where she shared a heartwarming video documenting her journey back to Lagos with her three children.
The clip captured intimate moments of the family at the airport, onboard the aircraft, and finally stepping into Lagos, drawing widespread attention online.
She simply captioned the post, “Back to base”, a phrase that quickly resonated with fans and stirred conversations across social media platforms.
The post attracted reactions from notable figures and admirers alike. Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye’s twin brother and fellow music star, expressed his joy by commenting, “Welcome, fam.” His message was among the most noticed responses on the post.
Lifestyle influencer Tania Omotayo also reacted, writing, “Finally.”

Anita’s return comes years after her highly publicized separation from Paul Okoye. In 2022, she filed for divorce citing allegations of cheating, prolonged separation, absentee parenting, fraud, and emotional hardship. In 2023, an Abuja High Court in Maitama officially dissolved the marriage, awarding Anita a $20,000 monthly settlement alongside ownership of several properties.
Paul Okoye later moved on with model Ivy Ifeoma, whom he married in May 2024, and the couple has since welcomed a child together.
Anita’s quiet but powerful return to Nigeria has once again positioned her at the center of public admiration, with many praising her strength, grace, and commitment to her children.
