Controversial street-hop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred fresh reactions online after publicly declaring that rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide, will regret not signing him.

The fast-rising singer took to social media to express frustration over what he described as neglect from Olamide, insisting that the rapper’s refusal to take him on as an artiste is a decision that will backfire in the long run.

Portable, known for his fiery personality and outspoken nature, wrote a lengthy post in which he accused industry figures of deliberately blocking his progress.

He warned that despite attempts to hinder him, he would continue to rise with the support of God and his expanding global fan base. According to him, Olamide had the opportunity to support his career more strongly but failed to do so.

“You will regret not signing me. I believe in God, my phone, and sub,” he wrote. “Any disappointment is a blessing. Zazuu, I am blessed internationally, I get fan base.”

The singer went on to appreciate British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, noting that the international star supported him at a time others abandoned him. Portable said Skepta played a crucial role in elevating his career beyond the point where many in the Nigerian music industry stopped believing in him.

“If you forget me, my own God no go forget me. God bless Skepta my helper wey carry me from where dem stop,” he added.

Portable insisted that when the right moment arrives for him to attain his peak, no one—not even Olamide will be able to stop it. He added that his outspoken nature and refusal to accept exploitation has made many industry figures uncomfortable.

“When my time comes, you no fit stop me. Olamide Baddo go regret why him no sign me or carry me alongside again just because I fight for my own right,” he wrote.

The singer, who has had multiple controversies and public fallouts in recent years, claimed that divine favour will ensure that he surpasses many of his colleagues despite the obstacles he continues to face. He maintained that he is destined for stardom and does not need the approval of those who refuse to support him.

“God of Zazuu is coming for you people too, those who dey block my ways. I believe I can fly. Star no dey beg to shine. God sent my helper to me. I international so I can be big more than them,” he declared.

Portable also warned against associating with people who do not reciprocate loyalty, stressing that those who sabotage relationships with genuine supporters attract negative consequences.

“Love who love you. Support those who support you. Them fit carry you a trabaye, make them still dey hate on you because you no be mumu. If you spoil me for who love me, you go die young,” he wrote.

His comments have sparked widespread debate, with many music lovers divided over whether Olamide should have offered more support to the controversial singer. Others believe Portable’s unpredictable behaviour justifies the distance maintained by industry leaders.
