Gospel music powerhouse Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji Alabi, are marking a remarkable milestone as they celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple, who have long been admired for their spiritual bond and partnership in ministry, shared a heartfelt joint message on Instagram to commemorate their silver jubilee.
In their emotional anniversary post, Tope reflected on the journey they have walked together and the unwavering companionship that has sustained their union. She expressed gratitude for the many seasons they have weathered side by side, emphasizing that their love continues to flourish even after a quarter of a century. “25 years and we’re still doing this thing called love!” she wrote joyfully.
She went on to describe their marriage as a beautiful blend of shared experiences — from laughter and growth to prayer and purpose. According to her, these years have been filled with intentional partnership and mutual support. “A whole quarter of a century together, vibes on vibes, laughing, learning, praying, growing, and doing everything side by side. We’ve held hands through every season, supporting each other’s dreams and purpose with joy.”
Tope paid a special tribute to Soji, describing him as the “master strategist,” while referring to herself as the “divine minstrel.” Together, she said, they have built far more than a home; they have created a legacy rooted in faith. “From the master strategist to the divine minstrel, we’ve built a life, a ministry, and a home we’re so proud of. Amazing children, countless memories, and zero second-guessing, just pure contentment and teamwork, all to the glory of God.”
The gospel singer ended the message with a heartfelt prayer as they step into the next chapter of their lives. She asked God to continue guiding their journey and to strengthen the foundation of their marriage. “And Lord, as we step into the next chapter, may Your grace shine even brighter on our journey, strengthening our bond, enlarging our joy, and deepening our roots in Your purpose in Jesus’ name. Amen. Happy 25th Anniversary to us — the Alabis!”
This anniversary celebration comes months after Tope publicly honored her husband on his birthday in April. At the time, she showered him with affectionate words, expressing how blessed she felt to have him. She described him as her Pope and reaffirmed her commitment to him, saying he remains her choice both “now and forever.” She also thanked God for the day their paths crossed, noting that life with him has been a gift.
Earlier in the year, their union had also made the news after veteran actor Olaiya Igwe revealed that he still regrets disappointing Tope and her husband on the day of their wedding 25 years ago. He recounted how he had promised to provide his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz V-Boot for their big day but failed to keep his word. Although he later sought forgiveness, the actor confessed that the memory still weighs on him, especially considering how life eventually turned around.
Beyond the celebrations, Tope has never hesitated to use her own marital journey as a source of inspiration for others. In one of her earlier posts, she shared a throwback photo of herself and Soji while offering heartfelt marital advice to her followers. Reflecting on her early years in ministry, she expressed gratitude for having walked the path with her chosen partner. She encouraged younger couples and singles to learn from her story, reminding them never to move ahead of God’s timing or guidance.
