“Regina Needs Help”—AGN President Emeka Rollas Exposes Industry Silence In Explosive Statement

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has addressed the ongoing marital crisis involving Nollywood star Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Prince Ned Nwoko. 

In a strongly worded statement shared on Instagram, Rollas criticized the entertainment industry for maintaining silence despite being aware of Regina’s troubling behavior.

Rollas referenced an incident that occurred during the guild’s last production, noting that several top Nollywood figures—Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, and Sanni Danji—witnessed Regina’s actions firsthand. According to him, it is unfair for these senior colleagues to stay quiet while he is publicly attacked.

He also recounted a moment during Regina’s son’s birthday at a children’s playground in Wuse 2, where Ned Nwoko publicly expressed concern over her alleged smoking habit. Rollas stated:

“In his words if you stop smoking you’ll have your own daughter… He expressed concern. He said publicly that he had involved your family and is now saying it in front of your father in the industry, as you refused to stop.”

Rollas emphasized that his intention is not to embarrass Regina Daniels but to highlight her need for help, stressing that the guild has previously supported many members dealing with personal challenges.

The AGN President also addressed Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, urging her to focus on her daughter’s wellbeing rather than guild politics. Additionally, Rollas cautioned Ned Nwoko about airing private family matters online, saying:

“Sir, you are not without blame. It is not good for a man of your status to go on social media and publicly call out your wife in something I still believe can be handled internally.”

He further clarified the circulating claims that Nwoko donated ₦200 million to AGN, stating the money was actually intended for Regina’s film production, not the guild.

Rollas used the statement to defend his leadership achievements, including hosting nationwide conventions and successfully preparing for the upcoming AGN elections scheduled for the first week of December. He warned against any attempt to disrupt the transition process.

He concluded:

“This is my truth… I have served with my whole heart, and I will leave with my integrity intact.”
