Nigerian fashion designer Prudent Gabriel has captured the hearts of many after sharing an emotional appreciation video on her Instagram page. The talented designer, who recently welcomed her first child, posted the heartfelt clip to honor her mother for her unwavering love and dedication throughout her pregnancy and postpartum journey.
The video, which has since gone viral, shows the beautiful moment Prudent presented her mother with a brand-new Toyota as a token of gratitude.
According to Prudent, her mother played a monumental role during her Omugwo, the traditional Nigerian postpartum care period. She revealed that her mother’s constant presence made her childbirth recovery smoother and less stressful.
In her touching caption, Prudent expressed how her mother ensured she was always comfortable, especially in the early weeks of caring for her newborn son, Keon. She recalled how her mother frequently insisted that she eat properly to maintain her breast milk supply and would even follow her around the house just to stay close to her grandson.
Prudent added that her mother often carried baby Keon herself, giving her much-needed rest as she adjusted to her new role as a first-time mum. The highlight of the video was the emotional moment her mother broke down, bowing her head and placing her hand on her face in gratitude after seeing the car. Overwhelmed, she showered Prudent with heartfelt prayers, asking God to bless her daughter and ensure her children honor her just as she honored her own mother.
This heartwarming gesture comes months after Prudent Gabriel’s lavish 2024 wedding ceremony titled “Heaven on Earth.” The glamorous event was attended by popular fashion personalities, Nollywood actors, and close friends, including Veekee James. Prudent was visibly emotional throughout her wedding, making the ceremony one of the most memorable celebrity weddings of the year.
