Nollywood comic star Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has appealed to Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, to end the ongoing public feud with her mother, urging her to apologise and seek peace.

Ijebu made the passionate appeal in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he addressed the 23-year-old reality TV star directly.

Imisi and her mother have been locked in a heated public disagreement since the end of the reality show, shortly after the young star walked away with the N150 million BBNaija grand prize

Their family issues spilled onto social media, triggering widespread online debates, intense criticism and emotional reactions from fans.

During her time in the Big Brother house, Imisi had narrated painful parts of her childhood, revealing that she was raped at age 12 and later had an abortion at 13

She also hinted at a troubled relationship with her mother, stating that her experiences contributed to the emotional distance between them. Her revelations generated heavy buzz online and attracted sympathy from viewers, but also sparked conversations about family trauma, healing and accountability.

Reacting to the situation, Ijebu said he felt compelled to speak because of how public the feud had become. He begged Imisi to swallow her pride and make peace with her mother despite everything that happened. According to the actor, no matter the past, a mother remains a child’s “mini-god”.

“Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible said we should honour our parents,” he said in the emotional video.

“This evening or tomorrow morning, I want you to visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry. Let her pray for you. No matter what she might have done to you, she is still your mini-god on earth.”

Ijebu further warned her against continuing the online dragging, saying he would be disappointed if he heard any more back-and-forth between her and her mother after his message.

He insisted that both women needed to find a way to settle their issues privately and away from social media.

“After this, I don’t want to hear any dragging again online. If I hear anything again, I will be so mad at you,” he added.

The actor’s message has since generated different reactions across social platforms. Some Nigerians praised him for advocating reconciliation and reminding young people about the importance of parental honour.

Others argued that trauma survivors should not be pushed into immediate reconciliation, insisting that healing is a process that requires time, understanding and responsibility from all parties involved.

This is coming after fellow ex-BBNaija winner Phyna also advised Imisi to be cautious and not repeat the mistakes she made in handling her own family issues publicly. With celebrities now weighing in, many fans hope Imisi and her mother can find a path toward peace.

For now, all eyes remain on Imisi to see if she will take Ijebu’s advice and attempt to mend the broken relationship with her mother.
