The conversation began after Bankulli recounted a story from Don Jazzy’s early years in the UK, suggesting that the Mavin Records boss fled the scene of an accident to avoid financial implications. Bankulli’s version of events painted a picture of a young Michael Collins Ajereh—now famously known as Don Jazzy—attempting to escape the costs associated with a damaged vehicle. In his claim, Bankulli said, “Just to survive, Don Jazzy had an accident back in London, he took out the plate number and ran away. Why? Because it will cost him more to tow the car out of there than to repair it.” His statement implied that the producer intentionally abandoned the vehicle in the Blackwall Tunnel area, sparking a wave of public speculation.

As part of standard procedures, he was tested for alcohol to determine whether he was driving under the influence. He recalled, “The car was impounded.
