Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football superstar, is reportedly set to open an exclusive private club in Madrid, marking another venture beyond his illustrious career on the pitch.
At 40, Ronaldo appears to be preparing for life after football while still continuing to perform at a high level with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
According to Libertad Digital, Ronaldo is partnering with Inigo Onieva and Mabel Hospitality, the firm of Manuel Campos Guallar, to launch the private members’ club named Vega.
The club is set to occupy a prime location in the heart of Spain’s capital city and promises to combine luxury with a sense of comfort and elegance. Sources say the venue aims to “create an elegant and inviting atmosphere where luxury is more of a feeling than a mere decoration.”
During the day, Vega is expected to offer a quiet and sophisticated environment for members to relax, hold meetings, or enjoy exclusive breakfasts.
At night, the space will transform into a social hub featuring fine dining, premium bars, and curated events for its members. The club will operate on a membership basis, and the fees reflect its exclusivity.
The highest tier, the “Founders’ Membership,” will be available only by invitation and will cost a one-off fee of £13,000.
This elite membership provides lifetime access, priority bookings, and other exclusive perks. Local residents can also access membership for a fee of just over £2,000 per year, with an initial registration payment of £1,750.
Younger members under 35 will benefit from a discounted annual fee of £1,300 and a registration fee of around £900. Couples will also have the option to join with a combined annual payment of £1,750.
The project represents a significant investment by Ronaldo and his partners, highlighting how football stars increasingly diversify their portfolios beyond the sport.
The private club scene in major cities like Madrid has grown rapidly, and Ronaldo’s venture appears to target high-net-worth individuals seeking privacy, exclusivity, and a blend of leisure and networking opportunities.
Even as he plans his post-football business ventures, Ronaldo continues to perform at a high level on the field. He remains a key figure for Al-Nassr and is preparing for what could be his final opportunity at the World Cup.
His success both on and off the field reinforces his status as one of the most influential athletes of his generation.
Fans and media outlets have already taken to social media to speculate about the club’s offerings, the guest list, and the lifestyle it promises. Many see the move as a natural extension of Ronaldo’s brand, which has always combined athletic excellence with a taste for luxury.
As Ronaldo continues to excel in football while exploring business opportunities, Vega is set to become one of Madrid’s most talked-about social venues.
With mobile phones banned inside, the club promises discretion and privacy, offering members a rare escape from the public eye.
Ronaldo’s investment in Vega demonstrates his ambition to remain relevant off the pitch while shaping the private leisure and social scene in Spain.
