Rapper Nicki Minaj has publicly apologized to Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, after previously making offensive remarks about the child during a heated online dispute with her mother.
The apology came after days of escalating social media drama between the two rap superstars, which saw personal attacks traded back and forth. In an emotional statement shared online, Minaj admitted that the child should never have been dragged into their feud.
Minaj addressed Kulture directly, writing:
“Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand. You’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features. One day you’ll see this, so I have to say: I apologize. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity. You’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.”
The “Super Bass” rapper clarified that Kulture’s physical features are completely normal for her age and should never have been a subject of ridicule.
However, while expressing regret toward the young girl, Minaj didn’t miss the chance to send a warning shot at Cardi B, accusing her rival of making negative remarks about her own son. She emphasized that she would hold Cardi accountable for any further insults directed at her family.
