Prince Kpokpogri, the ex-boyfriend of Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh, has spoken out against Nigerians who are celebrating the alleged marital crisis between Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Taking to his Instagram story, Kpokpogri expressed disappointment over how some Nigerians take pleasure in other people’s pain instead of showing empathy. He recalled how people reacted when he and Tonto Dikeh had their own issues, noting that many mocked them at the time, but they have since reconciled and remain good friends.
> “It is quite unfortunate that many Nigerians seem to take pleasure in negative news, especially when it concerns the personal lives of others. When Tonto and I had our differences, many people rejoiced and threw unnecessary tantrums. Today, we remain good friends and have moved past those issues,” he wrote.
Drawing a comparison to Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko, Kpokpogri noted that the same judgmental attitude is now being directed at them.
> “Now, the same attitude is being shown towards Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, Regina. Rather than showing empathy or wishing them well, some people appear to find joy in their challenges,” he added.
He questioned whether those rejoicing over the couple’s reported troubles are free from their own family issues or simply driven by envy and idle gossip.
> “Every marriage faces its own trials and misunderstandings. I strongly believe they will resolve their differences because Senator Ned is a good man who always prioritizes his family above all else. Let us learn to support and uplift others instead of celebrating their difficult moments,” he concluded.
Kpokpogri’s post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians praising his maturity while others accused him of trying to gain attention amid the trending Regina-Ned saga.
