Popular Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has warmed the hearts of fans after sharing a touching moment from her visit to her ailing mother in Kentucky.

The talented movie star took to Instagram to post a video of her road trip to the United States, where she spent precious time with her mother, who is currently in the hospital, and with her sister, who recently welcomed a baby.

Reflecting on the emotional trip, Adunni Ade wrote:

“Sometimes the best trips don’t take you somewhere new — they take you back home. Road trip to Kentucky, spent time with my mom and sister, and ended the night full of love and peace.”

Her heartfelt message stirred emotional reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom praised her love for family.

A user, Oladeji.mariam, commented, “Nothing beats family.”

Another fan, faceaskincare, prayed, “Get well soon, mama.”

One jellyfish2715765 wrote, “Wow nice, family first. You are a great lady, Adunni.”

Jewelolajumoke described the post as “Wholesome,” while realdeedee_mart added, “Weldone.”

Adunni’s followers applauded her humility and devotion, commending her for always staying grounded in her roots no matter her fame.

About a year ago, the actress made headlines after she humorously replied to a fan who questioned her light skin tone despite having a dark-skinned grandmother. In response, she jokingly said she bleached her skin, a clapback that went viral for its wit and confidence.

The actress has also spoken candidly about her journey as a single mother. She once recalled how discovering her first pregnancy while in senior college left her heartbroken and disappointed her father.

“I felt like the world came caving in on me,” she confessed, reflecting on the challenges she faced at the time.

Four years later, she welcomed her second son and faced similar emotions, but she resolved to remain strong and focused on giving her children a better future. Her resilience and openness continue to inspire many across Nollywood and beyond.
