An Abuja High Court has fixed November 26 for the hearing of the assault and battery suit filed against rapper Odumodublvck by content creator Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent.
The case stems from an alleged altercation that took place on December 16, 2024, during a public event. Kraziecent accused the rapper of physically attacking him while he was “peacefully taking pictures and videos,” claiming the incident was unprovoked.
He further alleged that Odumodublvck’s actions amounted to “assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress,” in addition to damaging his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi set the hearing date after Kraziecent’s lawyer, Uchenna Ojembe, told the court that all relevant documents had been served on the defendant, who had yet to respond.
“The hearing may not commence today because the defendant’s counsel, Sheriff Bello, has not responded. We, however, pray the court for a date,” Ojembe said.
Responding, Bello asked for more time to prepare for the case, noting that he needed to “put my house in order” before proceeding.
In his suit, Kraziecent is seeking damages for his “broken iPhone, public humiliation, and reputational harm.” He also wants a public apology from the rapper, to be published across Odumodublvck’s social media pages and in at least two national dailies, as well as a perpetual injunction to prevent further harassment.
The incident had earlier sparked outrage on social media, with several users condemning the rapper over the alleged assault.
